The government of Nunavut in Canada has released an RFP for the work on a Geothermal Feasibility Study in this territory in the far North of Canada.

In a Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP), the Government of Nunavut, territory in Canada is asking for bids for a Geothermal Feasibility Study.

Published October 13, 2017, bids are due November 15, 2017

The bid has been published by Qulliq Energy Corporation, QEC (formerly Nunavut Power Corp.), the only generator and distributor of electrical energy in Nunavut. The company is a territorial corporation is 100 per cent owned by the Government of Nunavut, and operates at arm’s length from the government, reporting to the territorial Minister responsible for QEC.

The company is also operating district heating systems currently fuelled by fossil fuels.
