A tender notice has been launched for the provision of Mini Well Test Equipment and Services for Geothermal Wells at the United Downs project in Cornwall, UK.

Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL) is seeking bids for the provision of Mini-well testing services (flowhead, choke, lines) of two deep geothermal wells at the United Downs Deep Geothermal Power project located near Redruth in Cornwall, UK.

Produced water will be pumped at between 10 – 40 litres/second and at 150 – 170 deg C surface flowing temperatures. Flowhead and choke and surface lines required rated to flowing temperatures and minimum 2000psi. Flowhead must connect to 4 ½” TS6 15.5ppf L80 Box tubing connection . The Electrical Submersible Pump and the injection pumps have been procured from other contractors, therefore only the well testing services are required. Please note that GEL are looking for minimal equipment as outlined above and service for a short flow period. Testing will take place 24 hours a day over a period of 7 days during mid to May 2021.
The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The closing date for the bids is 9th April 2021. Bids must reach GEL by no later than 1500 GMT on 9th April 2021.
