Arrabona Geotermia Ltd., subsidiary of PannErgy won a non-repayable grant on a tender

The proposal of Arrabona Geotermia Ltd. entitled „Economic revival with of geothermal energy in Gy?r” won non-repayable grant on a tender. Arrabona Geotermia Ltd. is a subsidiary of PannErgy. The tender named „Meeting local heating/cooling demands with renewable energy sources” (No.: KEOP-2012-4.10.0/B) requested proposals as part of the New Széchenyi Plan – Environmental and Energy Operation Plan, and it utilizes EU funding. The project will receive a non-repayable grant with a value of close to 1 billion HUF (~ 4.5 million USD). The investment will start this year as part of PannErgy’s Geothermal Project of Gy?r.

Péter Tóth, the CEO of PannErgy Ltd announced the following: „Our Corporation has an opportunity to start another significant investment. We are intending to build a geothermal system similar to that of Miskolc, which will contribute to the aims of the National Energy Strategy plan. We intend to test the injection and pumping wells during the third and fourth quarter of 2014, so the use of fossil energy sources and the emission of pollutants can already decrease in the city of Gy?r by 2015”.
