Join us on the 5th of April for a webinar on the ECOPID Project by Kurita and ES Geothermie that is developing environmentally-friendly geothermal solutions.

As part of the regular Focus on Geothermal Webinar series – a partnership of Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy – we are proud to host Hande Sile of Kurita for a webinar on “ECOPID Project: A Cooperation for Environmentally Responsible Solutions for Upper Rhine Geothermal Field.”

In this webinar, Hande will be discussing details of the ECOPID Project, a cooperation between Kurita Europe and ES-Geothermie. The project aims to develop new solutions in geothermal applications to improve productivity and save energy by eliminating environmental impacts.

The ECOPID Project

In late 2023, Kurita Europe announced the ECOPID Project in partnership with ES Geothermie. The project ECOPID (Etude de COmpatibilité et de Performance des Inhibiteurs de Dépôts) is financially supported by the French Agency for Ecological Transition (Agence de l’environnement et de la maîtrise de l’énergie – ADEME).

With this project, Kurita and its partner, ES-Geothermie, are committed to developing new solutions in the geothermal field to improve productivity and save energy by eliminating environmental impacts. Thus, the webinar will cover the background and the objectives of the project related to risk prevention of scaling compatible with corrosion protection and mitigation of radioactive deposits without environmental impact.

Hande Sile is the Energies Market Manager of Kurita EMEA. After she completed her Geological Engineering study at Istanbul Technical University, Hande started to work in the geothermal field. She then had an opportunity to gain experience in the explorational phase of a power plant project with drilling, testing, and well intervention operations. After this, she was responsible for workover operations, reservoir management, and scaling-corrosion control of the wells and surface facilities.

In 2020, Hande joined Kurita Group as Geothermal Product Manager to provide technical support to the geothermal projects of Kurita in EMEA. Since the beginning of last year, she expanded her responsibilities as Energies Market Manager to focus on new technologies for renewables and sustainable energy use.
