The webinar will provide an “Introduction to Wellsite Geology for Geothermal Projects”, describing the vital role in the drilling operations for geothermal projects, as the link between geothermal resource understanding and the drilling operations.

Presenter: Bastien Poux, Aetna Geothermal
Bastien is a Senior Geothermal Geologist and the Director at Aetna Geothermal with over 14 years of experience in the geothermal industry. He has worked on the exploration, evaluation and drilling operations of numerous geothermal projects across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Iceland, France, Montserrat, Djibouti, India and in South America. With extensive experience as a wellsite geologist, he has gained a deep understanding of the importance of geological characterization during the drilling process which he will share in this webinar. Bastien is also an expert in the use of Leapfrog 3-D modelling software to compile extensive exploration and drilling data sets, as well as building complex geological models.
