Registration is open for a webinar hosted by the AGA on the Koroit Geothermal Project, a sedimentary aquifer-hosted resource in Otway Basin, Victoria.

Registration is currently open for a webinar to be hosted by the Australian Geothermal Association on “Advancing the Koroit Hot Sedimentary Aquifer Geothermal Project with New-Gen Technologies.” Attendance to this webinar is free for all.

The details of the event are as follows:

  • Date: 19 March 2026, 1:00 to 2:00 PM AEST
  • Speaker: Dr Mark Elliott, Managing Director, Victorian Geothermal Exploration Company
  • Registration: Register via this link

In this webinar, Dr. Mark Elliott will present an in-depth overview of the Koroit Geothermal Project, an advanced hot-sedimentary-aquifer resource located in the Otway Basin, Victoria. He will discuss how innovative technologies adapted from the petroleum industry are revolutionising geothermal development in Australia by reducing costs and enhancing viability. The presentation will cover the project’s geological characteristics, resource potential, and the strategic use of existing fault systems that potentially eliminate the need for fracking.
