In this recording of a webinar, Alexander Richter of Iceland Geothermal and ThinkGeoEnergy shares his views on the current state of affair for geothermal development and current trends.

At the IGC Online webinar Friday, August 7, 2020, in my role as Managing Director of the Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster/ Iceland Geothermal and Founder of ThinkGeoEnergy, I presented and discussed my views on the current situation of the geothermal market and where things are going.

Addressing the current challenges due to the covid-19 pandemic and how it effects our industry was a key theme, I spoke though about other key elements that currently effect geothermal development regionally and globally.

Going through geographic specifics, technology, power generation vs. direct use, oil and gas sector, and the role of geothermal in the overall energy transition.
