The planned new Law on Geothermal in Indonesia will help to facilitate project financing for development by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The planned new Law on Geothermal in Indonesia, which is planned to be completed in April this year, provides a basis for financial support through the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

This is according to Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) in Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Mulyana Rida.

Project financing is crucial to realize the development of Indonesia’s geothermal resources and power projects. The World Bank and the Asian Development Bank are committed to support development in Indonesia.

The draft of the Law on Geothermal will help facilitate the provision of project finance to projects in development in Indonesia.
