The 30 MW Maspo Ala-2 geothermal power plant of Maspo Enerji in Turkey has started commercial operation following the acceptance by Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

The acceptance of the Ala-2 Geothermal Power Plant of Maspo Energy with an installed capacity of 30 MWe has been completed and the operation has been announced, as reported by our Turkish sister publication JeotermalHaberler.

Maspo Energy has the largest and most efficient license in the region as a geothermal area of ??12,650 hectares.  Work on the 30 MW Maspo Ala-2 geothermal power plant started in April 2017 and the plant has now reached operational status. T. C. The Acceptance Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources worked on 26-27 September in Ala-2. On 27 September 2019, the Ministry accepted the power plant. The plant is located in Manisa, Alasehir.

The foundations of Maspo Energy, the foundation of Gürmen Group, were laid in 2010. Following its establishment, the Company started investments in geothermal exploration activities in the Alasehir district of Manisa. The capacity of Maspo Energy’s Ala-1 Geothermal Power Plant is 10 MWe.

With that Turkish geothermal power generation capacity has reached 1,450 MW. Details to follow soon.
