The Clean Air Task Force (CATF) has launched a new online platform that hosts profiles for research groups and institutions, helping provide visibility and connectivity to the various players in the global geothermal industry.
Click here to access the Geothermal Frontier Knowledge Sharing Platform.
Next-generation geothermal technologies have immense potential to transform the global energy sector, but collaboration within and beyond the geothermal community remains limited. The Geothermal Frontier platform seeks to close this gap, connecting researchers, industry teams, government bodies, and investors to share their respective capabilities and needs.
The platform primarily provides profiles for research groups and institutions, highlighting:
- The research areas a group is currently engaged in, or planning to pursue;
- Testing capabilities, including maximum temperature and pressure; and
- Details on key project underway
A searchable database and global map provides convenient and practical discoverability for participating institutes. The map is also capable of showing an aggregated view of the expertise and capabilities available in each participating nation.
The platform is still accepting submissions from other institutes and research facilities who would like to participate. Those who wish to be included in the database are invited to complete the survey.

For more information on the Geothermal Frontier Knowledge Sharing Platform and a demonstration of how the system works, ThinkGeoEnergy is hosting a special webinar taking place on 28 August 2026. Click here for more details and to register for the webinar.
