New Zealand-based power company Contact Energy wins Excellence in Energy Award by Deloitte in New Zealand in the Enegy Innovation category for its sustainable financing efforts with its green borrowing program set up with ANZ bank in New Zealand.

At the 10th annual Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards in New Zealand, Contact Energy was finalist in three categories – Innovation in Energy, Low Carbon Future and the Well-being awards.

Now, the company announced that the company took home the Innovation in Energy award for our world leading Green Borrowing Programme. The Contact Energy team, with support of  ANZ Bank Sustainable Finance and Ernst & Young, were the first to bring certified green debt to the New Zealand market through the programme.
