Contact Energy has sent 8 geothermal experts to the World Geothermal Congress in Melbourne.

Contact Energy, being one of the leaders in geothermal energy in NZ for more that 50 years, has sent a team of eight geothermal experts to attend the World Geothermal Congress 2015 inaugurated today in Melbourne. They will also present research papers to the international geothermal community.

According to Stuff, the company is sending a mix of experts with many years of experience alongside young and bright professionals. Stuff mentions that “the team of engineers, scientists and power station operation experts from Contact Energy travelling to next week’s World Geothermal Congress consist of Sophie Milloy, Warren Mannington, Zim Aunzo, Kim Harwood, Fabian Sepulveda, Chris Morris and Dan Wilson.”

The eighth member, Miss Juliet Newson is also president of the International Geothermal Association (IGA) and also delivered the “keynote speech on Monday about “the Future of Geothermal Energy”.” said Stuff.
