The Philippines Department of Energy has extended the contract with Aragorn Power and Energy Corp. (subsidiary of APC Group) on the license for the Kalinga geothermal project in Apayao.

The Philippines Department of Energy has approved the extension of the geothermal energy service contract for the Kalinga geothermal project in Apayao. The project is being developed by Aragorn Power and Energy Corp., a subsidiary of APC Group.

The contract has been extended until September 24, 2018, with which the DOE confirms the performance and work commitment by Aragorn on the project.

The company is set to develop steam fields that can generate up to 100 MW with an estimated investment of $300 million.
