The U.S. Geothermal Energy Association will be holding its annual one-day "International Geothermal Showcase" in Washington, DC on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

The U.S. Geothermal Energy Association will be holding its annual one-day “International Geothermal Showcase” in Washington, DC on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The program will showcase geothermal projects, trends, and governmental policies in the U.S. and around the world. Topics covered will include; the geothermal market today, projects under development in the U.S. and internationally, outlook for the future of the geothermal market, policies driving geothermal development, geothermal risk reduction, and federal agency support at home and abroad.

In 2012, more than 250 industry leaders, government officials, and other power sector representatives from the U.S. and 26 countries around the world attended GEA’s International Geothermal Showcase. Countries expected to be represented in 2014 include: Belgium, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Djibouti, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Nevis, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Singapore, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Switzerland, Tanzania, Turkey, the United States, the West Indies, and more.
