Indonesia's President Jokowi has announced additional funding of $50 million as part of the 2020 State Budget to go towards PT Geo Dipa Energi for the development of the Patuha geothermal field and its electricity infrastructure.

As reported yesterday from Jakarta, Indonesia, the country’s President Jokowi  has provided additional  capital to PT Geo Dipa Energi amounting to Rp700 billion (USD 50 million).

The additional capital was included in Government Regulation Number 52 of 2020 concerning the Addition of Indonesian State Capital Participation in the Share Capital of the Limited Liability Company (Persero) PT Geo Dipa Energi.

In the PP which was signed by Jokowi on 23 September, additional capital will come from the 2020 State Budget.

In his consideration of his policy, Jokowi stated that additional capital was given to improve the capital structure of Geodipa … “and increasing the capacity of the company (Persero) PT Geo Dipa Energi in increasing funding for the development of the Dieng geothermal field,” he said as quoted from the PP.

In addition to this project, additional capital is also directed at increasing the company’s funding capacity for the development of the Patuha geothermal field in order to continue building electricity infrastructure.
