Geothermal Young Professionals are invited for the 4th Annual Networking Dinner in conjunction with the GRC Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon, September 29, 2014.

On Monday September 29th following the first official day of the GRC Annual Meeting and GEA Annual Expo in Portland, Oregon, the Geothermal Young Professionals Dinner will be held at Kells Irish Restaurant and Pub (http://www.kellsirish.com/portland/) in downtown Portland, Oregon at 6:30pm.

This will be the fourth such event.  The first, held in the fall off 2011 at Maria Maria, Carlos Santana’s restaurant in San Diego, was a rousing success.  Subsequent events were held in Reno, Nevada in 2012 and Las Vegas, Nevada in 2013.  The event is an unofficial networking dinner.  There are no sponsors.  There are no fees to attend.  Individuals are asked to purchase their own dinner and drinks.

The Geothermal Young Professionals group (Facebook link here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/303564426337340/) is part of an effort to engage students and young professionals just beginning their careers in the geothermal industry, or related industries that associate with geothermal (environmental permitting, geology, construction and engineering, electric utilities, regulators, consultants, policymakers, non-profits, and renewable energy advocates, etc, etc.)  The purpose of the Geothermal Young Professionals is to connect the next generation of professionals who will be instrumental in the success of the geothermal industry going forward.

There are no official leaders of the group, which is open to anyone, regardless of age, but recommended for those under 40 and/or just starting their careers in the geothermal industry or with companies that do business with the geothermal industry.

In order to have an estimated headcount, we would appreciate if individuals RSVP by September 15, 2014.  The best way to RSVP is to go to the event website on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/events/693619520708984/

RSVP’s are not required, just appreciated.
