The Geothermal Resource Council (GRC) is seeking nominations for awards for noteworthy achievements in the geothermal energy sector, to be given out in Sacramento in October.

The Geothermal Resource Council will be honoring Outstanding Achievement with awards to be given out at the GRC/ GEA Geothermal Conference and Trade Show in Sacramento, October 27, 2010.

In an e-mail by the organization nominations are requested.

“Do you know someone in the geothermal industry deserving of a special award?

Noteworthy achievements and distinguished collegues in the international geothermal community will be honored at the GRC Members Meeting and Awards Luncheon Wednesday, October 27, 2010, 12:00-2:00pm during the GRC Annual Meeting in Sacramento.

The GRC Awards & Honors Committee is seeking nominations for the following awards:
• The Joseph W. Aidlin Award: Recognizes outstanding contributions to the Geothermal Resources Council and to the development of geothermal resources.
The Geothermal Pioneer Award: Recognizes outstanding achievements in the development of geothermal resources.
Henry J. Ramey, Jr. Geothermal Reservoir Engineering Award: For outstanding achievements in the field of geothermal reservoir engineering.
• Ben Holt Geothermal Power Plant Award:  Recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of geothermal power plant design and construction.
• Geothermal Special Achievement Award:
Recognizes special or outstanding achievements in any aspect of geothermal energy development and related areas.
