Indonesian state-owned electric company PT PLN calls upon the country’s Ministry of Finance to immediately disburse Rp 1.2 trillion (US$133 million) previously allocated for geothermal energy development.

“We’re still discussing it. The government doesn’t want to lose the fund,” said PLN’s planning and technology director, Nasri Sebayang, yesterday in Jakarta. Nasri said he hoped the fund would soon be disbursed so that PLN could develop its geothermal energy capacity.”
