Jacobs offers an opportunity for a Drilling Team Leader to join their geothermal centre of excellence based in Auckland.

We currently have an opportunity for a Drilling Team Leader to join our geothermal centre of excellence based in Auckland. This is a rare opportunity to work with and lead a highly renowned team of specialists with a global reputation in supporting the exploration and development process for geothermal projects worldwide. Working with clients across the globe from Asia to Africa and Latin America to the US, this role will provide you with the platform to grow your own international reputation and enhance your current skills and knowledge base.

You will have enthusiasm for what you do and your drive and energy will see you developing new business and enhancing current relationships with internal and external clients. You will promote our geothermal well design and drilling engineering services to geothermal clients.

Your advanced people skills will be invaluable in this leadership role where you will foster collaboration and cohesiveness. You must be a keen supporter of continuous technical development and will enjoy mentoring and growing the capability of the team further. Some travel to overseas projects may be required.

You will hold a relevant qualification in engineering or earth sciences and will have at least 5 years’ experience in geothermal and or oil and gas drilling specifically well design, procurement, drilling, on-site drilling management, technical report writing and a proven track record in developing new business opportunities. Ideally you will be an experienced leader however if you are ready to take that next step into a leadership role for the first time, we would like to hear from you also.
