MTA will conduct geothermal exploration drilling at Menemen in Izmir, Türkiye, with the possibility of later offering the site through a tender process.
The General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) plans to conduct an exploratory drilling in the Menemen district of Izmir, Türkiye to determine the site’s geothermal resource potential. The project is reported to have an investment cost of approximately 10 million TL (approx. USD 227,400).
The study, to be conducted within the scope of Western Anatolia Geothermal Energy Exploration, will take place in a 5,400 square meter section of license area number 1693, within the boundaries of Buruncuk Neighborhood in Menemen district.
