Australian geothermal development company, Panax Geothermal is reporting a delay with a specialist logging contractor at its Salamander-1 well at its Penola project.

Australian geothermal development company, Panax Geothermal is reporting a delay with a specialist logging contractor at its Salamander-1 well at its Penola project.

In local news it is said that, “the contractor is required to finalise testing at the site, but the work has been pushed back by at least 10 days.

Bertus de Graaf from Panax says the announcement should have little impact for the workers at the site in the south-east of South Australia.

“It’s a courtesy to the market. We had announced we would be finished before that date and this delay has been out of our control, so we just tell the market it will be a few weeks later, or one-and-a-half weeks later than we had thought,” he said.

The testing is expected to be finished by early next month.”
