Just ahead of the Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Expo, I got the chance taking a few pictures tonight before the opening of the exhibition tomorrow, August 19, 2015.

It is always a privilege being involved in a conference on several levels. Having been invited to speak at the event, I will give a presentation on Day 2 on Advancements and Innovation in Geothermal Development, I am also in charge of the booth for Green Energy Geothermal in the exhibition hall. At the same time I will be trying to cover the event for ThinkGeoEnergy, not an easy task.

Tonight, I walked through the craziness of the booth set up. Quite amazing to see the elaborate booths being built for players such as Chevron, Pertamina, Supreme Energy, as well as the numerous suppliers.

Tomorrow the conference will be opened by the President of Indonesia, who will also officially open the exhibition with a tour. So hopefully we manage to get some good photography.

There are some rumours about great things being announced tomorrow, so this will be exciting. There is a general vibe of things happening in Indonesia, last but not least with projects such as Sarulla having been financed and being in construction. But there are also numerous other projects in various stages of development. So we will see what can be reported during and after the event, so stay tuned.

Here a few pictures from tonight during the still ongoing construction. We will also post some of those pictures on Flickr.com/thinkgeoenergy
