PT PLN is starting construction of the 20 MW Tulehu geothermal power plant in Salahuti, Maluku likely with funding from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

PT PLN (Persero) will begin construction of Tulehu Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP), Salahutu, Maluku with capacity of 2×10 megawatts (MW). Bambang Dwiyanto, Senior Manager Corporate Communication at PLN, said PLN immediately conducted an auction for the construction of Tulehu PLTP.

The construction will be done after the funding agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency  (JICA) completed in the near future. “The construction of Tulehu geothermal power plant is planned to complete in 2016,” he said on Tuesday.
