Public engagement on geothermal energy – a fantastic approach in form of a comic book
What a great approach to engage on geothermal energy and inform the public. In this comic book, Swiss company Geo-Energie Suisse addresses local concerns on development of an EGS geothermal project.
Promoting geothermal energy is challenging enough and finding creative approaches is always fantastic. Dealing with opposition to Engineered Geothermal Systems (EGS) and finding a way to graphically address this is a whole different animal. So what surprise stumbling across an approach to address this in form of a comic book, which I stumbled across in a tweet by David McNamara. Thanks for sharing.
How cool is this comic on engineering geothermal systems by Badoux-Gefe! Great piece of #scicomm and public engagement! #geothermal#science#outreachpic.twitter.com/bvkR7ZYUtL

The comic was created by Geo-Energie Suisse AG in 2014 under the title “Pilotprojekt – Hot Dry Rock”.
I congratulate the company on this great comic … now we need to figure out a way to translate and share it widely.
