Turkish firm Hemin Hitay is now seeking permission for preliminary survey work on the province of Aceh, Indonesia as reported locally.

The province of Aceh in Indonesia is aiming to make itself a major investment destination this year. It is now heavily promoting itself both domestically and internationally.

The geothermal sector is thereby of particular interest and a cooperation with Turkish company Hemin Hitay in progress, as discussed here previously.

Earlier this month a team from Hitay visited Acey to request permission for a preliminary survey in Aceh. The team met government representatives and expressed their interest to help develop economic growth through the utilization of geothermal in Aceh.

Hitay Energy Holding is a large company in Turkey that could develop a geothermal field. Currently , Hitay has 8 exploration licenses in Indonesia, but for the future it is expected to hold 9 to 10 in Aceh alone.

Hitay team will conduct a survey to Alue Canang , Alue Lhong – Beungga , Tangse , Pidie and Kafi , Twin Mountain and Dolok Estimates in Gayo Lues to directly study the geothermal prospect near the volcano and Peut Sagoe Burni Telong .
