The Geothermal Power Plant Investors Association (JESDER), one of the leading companies in the geothermal sector, successfully held their 6th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting.
The 6th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Geothermal Power Plant Investors Association (JESDER) was successfully held on 28.02.2022 at Izmir Kaya Thermal Hotel. After the General Assembly voting, new JESDER board members were elected unanimously.
As a result of the distribution of duties in the first board meeting, it was decided to re-assign Ufuk SENTÜRK as the chairman of the board of directors, Mehmet KAYGUSUZ and Mehmet SISMAN as vice president, Muharrem DURMUS as treasurer and Volkan ÖZTÜRK as general secretary.
JESDER Chairman of the Board of Directors Ufuk Sentürk made some statements regarding the new period:
“The main topics of the previous period were the announcement of YEKDEM, hybrid facilities and greenhouses with geothermal origin, and the CEOS Communiqué as of 2020. Although we did not receive the incentives we expected for YEDEM, we have made great progress in the field of geothermal-based greenhouse cultivation thanks to hybrid facilities, CEPS Communiqué and the devoted efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and our investors.
Re-evaluation of YEKDEM by the Ministry, completion of the Turkish Geothermal Law and implementation of the hybrid facilities regulation will be our main topics for the upcoming period. While we continue to work on the applicability of the SEÖS Communiqué, we are also negotiating on issues such as residential heating and Lithium extraction from geothermal fluids that we have been waiting to be put on the agenda for a long time.”
