GEO-ENERGY EUROPE is asking for support on its online survey to collect useful information on increasing visibility of geothermal and development of business opportunities for geothermal SMEs in Europe.

The GEO-ENERGY EUROPE metacluster, formed by important geothermal stakeholders from different countries and disciplines with the common aim of developing a communication network and cooperation opportunities between SMEs operating in the geothermal field throughout the European continent, as well as of promoting their internationalization, has invited all SMEs to complete its online survey on cross-sectoral cooperation experiences and the opportunities of geothermal in other sectors. Deadline February 4, 2022.

According to the announcement made by the metacluster, the purpose of the questionnaire is to collect useful information to increase the visibility of geothermal energy in other economic sectors and to develop new business opportunities for geothermal SMEs.

European SMEs can take the online survey until February 4th (Friday) by answering four easy questions in just a couple of minutes. The GEE metacluster indicates that it will use the contributions by the SMEs to draft a report on existing Case Studies and Best Practices of cross-sectoral cooperation in Europe and beyond, to promote their replications and new cross-sectoral collaborations.

Bringing together the European know-how, technologies and experience in geo-energy, with an emphasis on its SMEs’ offer and a focus on deep geothermal energy since 2020, the GEO-ENERGY EUROPE metacluster is composed of the project participants: Geoscience Ireland (GI, Project Coordinator), European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC, Belgium), Association française des Professionnels Français de la Géeothermie (GEODEEP, France), Avenir Energie Environnement (Pole Avenia, France), Cluster of Applied Earth Sciences (CAPES, Hungary), Consorzio per lo Sviluppo delle Aree Geotermiche (COSVIG, Italy), GeoEnergy Celle (GEC, Germany), Spanish Geothermal Technology Platform (GEOPLAT, Spain), and Jeotermal Enerji Santral Yatirimcilari Dernegi (JESDER, Turkiye). The metacluster currently represents over 600 members, including 300+ SMEs from 23 EU countries, and covers the entire deep geothermal value chain.

The deadline for participation in the GEO-ENERGY EUROPE 2 online survey is February 4th, Friday. Participants for the survey may send their questions regarding the questionnaire and/or the GEE Project itself to Dario Bonciani and Alice Pippucci of COSVIG, Italy via info@cosvig.it
