The IGA and CNGEC have decided to postpone the World Geothermal Congress 2023 to a later date in October 2023. The exact timing will be announced shortly.

EDITOR’S NOTE: WGC 2023 has now been rescheduled to 14 to 23 September 2023.

Due to ongoing uncertainty regarding scheduling and organising a global event under the zero-Covid policy in China, the International Geothermal Association (IGA) and the National Geothermal Energy Center of China (CNGEC) have jointly decided to postpone the World Geothermal Congress 2023 to a later date in October 2023. The exact timing of the event is to be announced shortly.

We have also decided that due to this postponement we will extend the submission deadline for papers to 31 December 2022.

We trust that this decision will bring a clear and final direction for all our stakeholders and that we jointly can collaborate towards organising and delivering a state-of-the-art live event in Beijing, China where the global geothermal community can come together. Information on the registration process, the sponsorship and exhibition packages will be communicated from October onwards on www.wgc2023.com.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support! All questions can be directed to Marit Brommer at iga@lovegeothermal.org.
