As in previous year, Women in Geothermal (WING) USA will be sponsoring 10 students to participate in the GRC Annual Meeting. Don't miss the chance and apply.
Have you always wanted to attend the Geothermal Resources Council’s Annual Meeting but haven’t had the ability or funds to travel? With the conference being held virtually this year, now is your chance to take part! The WING USA Team will be sponsoring 10 students to participate in this year’s event. The scholarship will provide you with full access to the virtual event, which you can watch and participate in from anywhere in the world!
To apply, send an email to “womeningeothermalusa@gmail.com” with your CV and a short essay (250 words) that describes both, (1) your interest in geothermal energy, and (2) you thoughts regarding gender equity on college campuses [or in the workplace]. Make it personal! Applications will be reviewed by a panel of geothermal professionals from WING USA, and 10 students will be selected for this scholarship. Deadline for applications is September 21st, 2020.
Scholarship recipients will be asked to provide a short quote after the Annual Meeting sharing what the opportunity meant to them, or detailing the most educational part of the meeting for them that may be used in future WING promotional materials or advertising. Applications are welcome from students of all genders who are interested in pursuing a career in the geothermal industry.
