The IGA and CNGEC have announced new dates for the 2023 World Geothermal Congress, now taking place on 2-11 September 2023 in Beijing, China.

EDITOR’S NOTE: WGC 2023 has now been rescheduled to 14 to 23 September 2023.

The International Geothermal Association (IGA) has announced that the 2023 World Geothermal Congress in Beijing, China will be held earlier than anticipated. This supersedes a previous postponement of the event. The new dates for the WGC2023 are as follows:

  • Short courses – 2-3 September 2023
  • Technical programme – 4-6 September 2023
  • Field trips – 7-11 September 2023

The organizers are pleased to announce the official opening of registration for WGC2023, along with details on the exhibition and sponsor packages, which can be found at https://www.wgc2023.com/. With the lifting of COVID restrictions, the organizers would like to inform the global community that WGC2023 will be held as an on-site only event.

The World Geothermal Congress (WGC) is the premier global geothermal event for the sharing of knowledge and innovations from around the world, bringing together leaders of industry, academia, governments, NGO’s and communities to collaborate and provide thoughtful solutions for a sustainable world. This year’s event is being organized by the IGA together with the National Geothermal Energy Center of China (CNGEC).
